Real Weddings: Sarah and Mike – the pictures!

Sarah and Mike were married on a super steamy Friday evening in June (remember the crazy thunderstorms on June 18th?  Yep, that was their wedding night!).  Despite the heat and a few intense storms, their day was picture perfect.  Sarah made a lot of the little details herself and I know had fun enjoying lots of yummy wine to collect as table number stands.  Sarah and Mike were engaged at a winery, thus the wine theme!  Harold, from Modern Photoglyphs, sent me the images below – enjoy!

Real Weddings: Allison & Nick – the engagement photos!

Allison and Nick were our Wedding Day Giveaway winners from the contest we offered back in February.  Jason Aten, the photographer who graciously donated a full photography package, spent some time with the cute couple this past week for their engagement session.  You can see tons of photos on his blog, but I thought I’d share my favorites!  Jason always runs a contest on his blog for the couples that he works with – leave Allison and Nick a comment on his blog to help them win!

Allison and Nick are getting married on October 15th – check back for their wedding photos!

We were featured!

Yesterday Get Married Magazine featured Ashley and Kyle’s wedding, one of our full-service 2009 clients, on their Blogger Brides website.  Check out the entire post!

This event was truly the epitome of a Michigan spring wedding.  They were married on the waterfront, the sun was shining, the flowers was just beginning to bloom, and the weather was just warm enough to mingle outside.  Here are a few of my favorite images from Kara Purtell Photography and a great highlight video from Jamie Honce Productions.

LND Press: Creative Ceremony Ideas

We were featured in the newest edition of Brides Michigan in an article called ‘Creative Ceremony Ideas’.

Aimee and Chris inspired one of the two ideas that I wrote about.  Their ceremony was held outdoors during a beautify October fall afternoon.  Aimee really wanted to keep the rich falls colors she selected for the reception incorporated into the ceremony too.  She enlisted the help of her flower girl and ring bearer to collect fallen leaves around the venues property.  The result was beautiful – check out the picture below from West Park Photography.

A big thanks to Pearls Events for the image of the article!

Real Weddings: Aimee and Chris are married!

Aimee and Chris win the title of farthest away clients I’ve worked with!  I’ve decided that ALAKSA is a place I must visit soon!  Aimee and Chris, and all their family and friends, were an absolute pleasure to work with.  They were gracious, kind, laid back, and super fun!

Both the ceremony and reception were held at The Huntsman Hunt Club in Dryden, MI.  Haha, when I first spoke with Aimee I didn’t even know where Dryden was at!  After a quick google search and a few clicks through the Hunt Clubs website I knew I wanted to be part of this event!   I’m an outdoors type of girl – love camping, hiking, gardening… anything outside – so I knew their event would be one that I could completely relate to.

With a great line-up of vendors, an amazing meal, beautiful grounds, and a bride and groom who wanted to have fun, we were sure to have a perfect night!  Lynn and Andy from West Park Photography did a great job capturing the love that filled the room (and all the little details that Aimee and her maids made!)
