One of my new favorite holiday traditions is something that Adam and I started the first Christmas we were married. We spend most of Christmas Day driving from one families house to the others, so we designated Christmas Eve as our special holiday. We love to wake up late and cook a huge breakfast together and then spend most of the late morning reading or playing a board game. I’m a stickler for long standing traditions so this means we always attend a Christmas Eve service on Christmas Eve (our church has services for a few days leading up to Christmas)… and my most favorite part of the day – picking up Chinese food on our way back home! We also usually end up exchanging gifts that night too (Adam just can’t wait to exchange – I think it’s his favorite part of the day!)

Now that I think about it, my husband and I really don’t have any traditions other than driving all over the place trying to catch up with everyone! Maybe we’ll start a new one this year. Happy Christmas!
